Chess is one unique game associated with the mankind since countless cultures and historic moments. When Muslims occupied lands from India and Persia the game found its existence. In 11th century it became famous in Germany, then moved on to England and Ireland. It flourished across North Africa and then moved to Europe.

The practice of playing chess for money became widespread during 13th century. And in Europe Chess was taken so seriously that masses followed it and the First Chess International Tournament held in London. This was in 1851 when the Modern Chess begun. In 20th century World Chess Federation has been established to ensure that we may not loose such a royal and unique game and its relevance. Changes to the theory of chess were also introduced. Finally in 21st century with the generation z the game also included computers for analysis, team consultations and online gaming.

Chess is the National sport in Russia where people would love to leave any sport for Chess. Be it football which gets the second highest attention and fame. It’s not just the game that has evolved over the years, it’s the pieces the King, Queen and Knights have also evolved and changed. In fact got in to the current trends. Like in the ancient chess there were no women who used to participate at the battlefield.
